Troubleshooting tips for viewing the Master Tapes PDF files with the current pricing with the most common web browsers.
A PDF file, or Portable Document Format, is a read-only text file that requires Abobe Acrobat Reader to be viewed. A PDF file may not open, or will not display properly, if you have had multiple versions of Acrobat Reader installed. Uninstall older versions of Acrobat Reader and use only the latest version of Acrobat Reader available.
Firefox:
You can view the PDF's in the Firefox browser without having to download the file. You must install the Adobe Acrobat 10.1.10.18 PDF plug-In for Firefox, if you do not already have it enabled in your browser. In the Firefox browser go to Tools > Add-ons > Get Add-ons and search for the Adobe Acrobat 10.1.10.18 PDF plug-In. Install and re-start the browser to enable the plug-in. Be sure to set the Plug-in to Always Activate.
Safari:
- In the Finder, select a PDF, and choose File > Get Info.
- Click the arrow next to Open With to expose the product menu.
- Choose either Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader from the application menu.
- Click the Change All button.
- When asked if you want to change all similar documents, click Continue.
Disable AdobePDFViewer plug-in:
- Quit Safari.
- Log in as the root user. The root user privileges aren't enabled by default because the root user can change system files. For more information and instructions, see one of the following Apple documents: Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X or OS X Mountain Lion: Enable and disable the root user.
- Choose Go > Go To Folder.
- Type /Library in the Go To The Folder field, and click Go.
- Create a new folder in the Library folder, and name it Internet Plug-ins Disabled.
- Open the Internet Plug-ins folder, and move both the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and the AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin into the new Internet Plug-ins Disabled folder.
Internet Explorer:
Close Internet Explorer. Start the Adobe Acrobat Reader program. Click "Edit" and select "Preferences." From the list on the left, select "Internet." Uncheck "Display PDF in browser" and click "OK." Open the "Preferences" window again. Select "Internet." Place a check next to "Display PDF in browser." Open Internet Explorer. Click "Tools." Click "Manage Add-ons." Click "Toolbars and Extensions." Look for and right-click "Adobe Acrobat Control for ActiveX (pdf.ocx)." Select "Enable." Click "OK." Restart Internet Explorer. PDF files opened within Internet Explorer will display within the browser itself.

Google Chrome has a built-in PDF viewer enabled by default. When you click a PDF link on the web, the file opens directly in your browser window. The following controls are available in the lower-right area of the browser window.
